HOSPITALITY IT MANAGER

Born in the year of the goat in the Philippines, I graduated AMA University in 2002, specialisation Computer Systems Analysis and Design.  He is a registered professional IT with more than 12 years’ experience in Systems Administrations and Hospitality Expertise. After completing his education, Herbert started his Middle East experience by joining Ritz Carlton, Qatar. He successfully occupied the position of IT Assistant, but wanting more opportunities for him and his family he decided to leave Qatar for Dubai.

The Dubai adventure started with Raffles Hotel as IT Assistant where he facilitated and managed the economical and effective utilization of computing resources including personnel and equipment supporting platform.

After absorbing a lot of information and at the same time more Dubai experience, he later worked as Hospitality IT Specialist with Pragma Group which is including some of the biggest names in Dubai’s Nightlife such as Cavalli Club and Cirque Le Soir . There he produced and maintained system administration reports and end user support. Enhanced corrective measures to resolve and proactively avoid complications with voice, data or video networks within various business platforms across the Group.

With an ample experience in more than 11 companies, with wide hospitality IT systems experience with 4 restaurants and Cafés, 5 Nightclubs and after 2 Five Star-Hotel Pre-Openings, Herbert joined Whissle Group on the position of IT Manager. Here he holds and maintains the group IT systems, from Micros, Sun systems and ReserveOUT. And designs and implements network structure to meet the highest standards, using Six Sigma technique.

Although he loves what he is doing and successfully developed in becoming a computer specialist, Herbert has an artist’s soul. He is passionate about photography and music and dedicates all his free time to his family and his hobbies.
